    San Clemente Homes Real Estate

    San Clemente, the “Spanish Village by the Sea,” is a quaint coastal town. San Clemente’s beaches and bustling downtown make this town a popular place to call home. With a population of just over 60,000, San Clemente has a unique way of making a city feel like a small town. San Clemente is home to a deep sense of community, stemming back to its origins in 1925, when Ole Hanson purchased the land and began to develop the town. San Clemente has long been known for its Spanish style architecture, known to locals as Ole Hanson style buildings. 

     

    Located on a major train line, with two stops in town, San Clemente gives residents access to larger metropolitan areas such as Irvine, Los Angeles, and San Diego.  

     

    San Clemente is home to a number of historic sites, including Casa Romantica, Ole Hanson’s home while he lived in San Clemente, Ole Hanson Beach Club, and Richard Nixon’s private estate. The city also boasts a large number of parks and recreation areas, public-access trails, and of course, beaches. San Clemente’s beaches are known for soft sand and great surf. San Onofre, Trestles, and T-Street are three popular destinations for local surfers. The city is also home to hundreds of locally-owned restaurants and bars, most located on its main street, Avenida Del Mar. Del Mar is one of the main draws to the city, the street is lined with restaurants, bars, and quaint shops. It is also the location of two city-wide events each year, the Ocean Festival in mid-May, and the Fiesta Music Festival in early-August. There is also a weekly farmer’s market with local produce. 

     

    San Clemente has six elementary schools, three middle schools, and two high schools. San Clemente High School is known for its successful football and surf teams. San Clemente High School football team won the CIF league in 2016. The surf team has won 6 of the 7 most recent NSSA national surfing titles.
